Wood Flooring

There are two types of hardwood flooring - Unfinished and Finished. Either option will result in the classic, elegant look and feel only achieved with a real hardwood floor. We can provide a wide range of wood and finish options and have many samples available. Unfinished Hardwood flooring requires sanding and finishing on site after installation is complete. This type of hardwood is typically 3/4" in thickness, tongue and grooved with end-matching and available in widths ranging from 2-1/4"   to 5". This type of flooring must be installed on or above grade (1st floor or second floor, no basement) and must be stapled or nailed over an approved wooden sub-floor.

Pre-finished Hardwood comes with a factory applied finish, is usually beveled on either two sides or all four sides, and ranges in thickness from 1/2" to 3/4" with 3/4" being most common. Board widths range from 2-1/4" to 6", and like unfinished hardwood, this type of flooring must also be installed on or above grade and stapled or nailed.
